The 11th Annual Scientific Meeting of Wuhan City was successfully held on 29 October 2024, which was conducted in the form of ‘meeting, exhibition and competition’. It was divided into two sections: the main meeting released the status of scientific and technological academic development in Wuhan, unveiled the plaque for the newly established High-end Industry Society, and held a forum for academicians (experts) to lead the development of high-end industries; the rematch of Wuhan Future Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2024 was held at the branch; and the exhibition of Wuhan Science and Technology Innovation and Popularisation Achievements 2024 was held simultaneously at the periphery of the main meeting.
Yonggao Yan, General Manager of New sail Technology, led a team to participate in the exhibition of Qingjie Zhang Academician's scientific research achievements, which was located in the Leading Era section. Also exhibiting in the same section were the team of academicians Hongfu Yin and Shucheng Xie, the team of academician Hanzhong Wang, the team of academician Chunhe Yang, the team of academician Zongyu Gao, and other societies.
Introduction of Academician Zhang Qingjie's Booth
Academician Qingjie Zhang is an academician of the CSA, vice chairman of Hubei Provincial Association for Science and Technology, leader of the expert group in the field of materials of the Ministry of Science and Technology's ‘Research on Cross-Frontier and Disruptive Innovation Strategic Planning for 2035’, and has won two second prizes of the National Natural Science, one second prize of the National Technological Invention, and four first prizes of provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards. He is the chief scientist of New Sail Technology Co.

Academician Qingjie Zhang gave a special lecture on ‘Research on the Development Strategy of New Materials in China and Wuhan’, in which he mentioned:
New materials are very important to a country, a region. To a large extent, a country and a region can be measured in terms of its importance not only in terms of scientific and technological innovation, but also in terms of strategy and ideas.
